1 Breath Time

Mother Earth is dying. Humans devour her natural resources at an alarming rate and inflict irreversible damage on a catastrophic scale. Our impact is ruthless and unrelenting – we are not allowing our planet time to breathe.

One Breath Time is the art philosophy of Emilio Mogilner. Using his own being to highlight the Earth's plight, he takes a deep breath and begins to paint. As his body is deprived of oxygen his brushstrokes become more frantic, more desperate, until all his air is gone. He takes a breath, and the art is over.

Our planet is suffocating. Humanity has been taking more than it is due, and the effects have already begun to be felt. We must slow down and let the Earth catch its breath. Art is a unique and powerful way to change global attitudes – if we act now, One Breath Time may just save the world.

Emilio's philosophy has already had a significant impact in Israel and is gaining momentum around the world. He has performed One Breath Time paintings live on television and was recently featured in Linda Weintraub's EnvironMentalities.
